About Hakusoh

Today, Let me introduce you to the history of "Hakusoh"

The company started as a lumber in Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture, more than 200 years ago.

The name Hakusoh was given by the second generation, Iwase Sojiro, in 1835. When I looked up what happened that year, I found out that the president of the United States at the time was Andrew Jackson. Coincidentally, his nickname was "Old Hickory", which made me feel a connection to baseball bats.

The company continued as lumber until 1954, when it began to manufacture wooden bats. I also looked up what else happened that year and found out that Joe DiMaggio came to Japan with his wife Marilyn Monroe for their honeymoon.

Since then, the company has grown as a wooden bat factory, using its experience and knowledge of lumber for over 150 years. It mainly produced bats for major baseball brands in Japan, and sometimes even made Louisville Slugger.

In the meantime, We were making wooden bats only to a small extent under the name Spark Slugger.

Nowadays, it accepts orders from nearly 20 Japanese brands and delivers about 100,000 wooden bats a year to Japan and the world.

And in 2018, it officially launched its own original brand, "Hakusoh Bat". As the factory that makes the most wooden bats in Japan, it started selling Japanese bats to the world.

It has been facing baseball in various countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Europe, and Asia for about five years. Then we realized that our biggest strength is its fungo bat made of the Japanese material "Ho-朴" *Japanese magnolia. It is the only one in the world that can make the best fungo bat, and it wants to deliver it to the world and develop and promote baseball.

I hope you can learn a little bit about us.
